Practice Assessment
First phase of the Team Ready Framework TM is the practice assessment. It includes a detailed analysis of your existing practices, the organization’s technological context, management systems, and process infrastructure. Achieved through a complete interview process of the leading actors within the company, the assessment brings a clear understanding of the existing process landscape in the organization. The current level of efficiency of each practice is evaluated against the impact of the organization. The information is then used to develop the Practice Assessment Matrix that provides a clear view of challenges to come, alternate paths to optimization and assessment of areas for short-term and long-term redesign and improvement.
Roadmap Elaboration
Second phase of the Team Ready Framework TM underlines the identified areas of improvement and provides actionable recommendations. Based on the Practice Assessment Matrix, we define the practice deployment strategy, iteration plan and process guidance. Needed practice improvements are deployed parallel to the current development effort in an iterative approach. At this stage, third-party software, controls or components are also identified. The priorities from the Practice Assessment Matrix are transformed into initiatives and plotted on a roadmap. The roadmap covers the full spectrum of series of initiatives grouped along multiple iterations and helps the organization get a clear overview of what is needed to reach its business and IT objectives.
Process Design and Practice Deployment
Once VSTS is deployed, InCycle analyzes the current situation and constraints of each practice and helps design the process that should take place as per the roadmap. The deployment of each practice is performed in a series of 4 to 6 weeks long iterations, allowing relevant actors to assimilate the new structure. InCycle’s experts will facilitate the transition through tools training, subject matter mentoring, process guidance and VSTS tailoring.
